About Anstruther Fish Bar
Situated right on the harbour overlooking the Firth of Forth, the renowned Anstruther Fish Bar is a former winner of the UK-wide Seafish Fish & Chip Shop of the Year award. It's owned and run by a family that has been fishing in the East Neuk of Fife since the 1600s and their fish-processing business in nearby St Monans supplies haddock throughout east and central Scotland. They are committed here to sustainable fish and seafood, sourced locally wherever possible, with prawns from nearby Pittenweem, crab and lobster from the creels of local fisherman landed just across the road on Anstruther quayside and even the potatoes sourced exclusively from a local Fife farmer. The restaurant and takeaway has a traditional nautical theme and as you relax and wait for your food you can watch films of life at sea dating back to the1950s. It's open right through from 11.30am until 10pm, seven days a week. It's also fully licensed and has a traditional Italian ice cream parlour with a choice of 50 flavours, all made on the premises. In summer, watch the fishermen landing their catch from the seating area opposite the shop which overlooks the picturesque harbour.General Enquiry
