About Baan Siam
You will find Baan Siam – literally Thai House – on Barrow’s main shopping street where it has been a fixture for the last six years. It’s a family affair with mum, dad and two sons running this popular Thai restaurant which is open Monday to Saturday from 5pm to 10.30pm. It serves classic Thai food with a northeast orientation and as well as the main menu there are special deals on offer as well as a takeaway menu (collection only) at 15% off the main menu prices. Signature dishes include Yam Neau, a spicy beef salad; Massaman Gai, a traditional southern curry with chicken, beef or pork; Phad Nam Prig Phai Gai, chicken or pork stir-fry with fresh vegetables and roasted chilli; and Panaeng Gai, a rich red curry. Chicken, tiger prawn or vegetable satay is also a popular starter. Both Singha and Chang beers are available as well as a choice of 20-odd wines.
