WOW! Fantastic food, simply delicious. I really enjoyed the relaxed dining atmosphere and attentive, welcoming and friendly staff. I don't normally comment on websites but this is just too good to keep a secret. Thank you for a great taste experience with lots of attention to details. I loved the carved vegetables.

I was worried when i heard that the restaurant I was about to go to was based below street level in Edinburgh - however when i did get inside the warm environment and ambience were overwhelming and I cannot image a better dining experience. The capacity of the restaurant surprised me to I was not expecting such a wide open space or the hand made decorations that I was presented with. The service was second to none and quick in comparison to many other restaurants nearby, i also was amazed when the bill came that the prices were so low. Needless to say since this restaurant is so close to the city centre and minutes around the corner from the playhouse I will definitely be returning.

I was in Edinburgh for a show on Saturday and wanted to get out of the hustle and bustle of the main street for some food, when my fiancee and i spoted this quaint little Thai restaurant in the basement of the Richmond hotel not even a 5 minute walk from the playhouse, so we dropped in as we have always fancied trying out some Thai food. How delighted were we, the food was sublime, the waitress eve was very nice, helped us with recommendations on food and we had one of our best restaurant experiences in Edinburgh for a long long time. needless to say we will be returning again I cant recommend this lovely little restaurant enough to anyone looking for great food, friendly informative staff and a stunning experience of Thai cuisine, the setting was also lovely Steve & Michelle

We booked at the Baan Thai in Edinburgh on the off chance we would have a welcoming Thai meal and we were not disappointed. With great company we spend a unhurried three hours enjoying the professional cuisine of the establishment. Kye and Tim provide a splendid choice of dishes, which sometimes can be a put-off, but not here. Tempted to work our way through the whole menu and we will be back to resume the experience of authentic Thai food in beautiful surrounding! A wonderful time.
