This super-stylish Italian restaurant and bar sits midway between Newcastle's shopping district and the waterfront. It's a large and luxurious venue with deep booths to sink into, a spacious bar area, al fresco seating out front and a separate lounge area for private events and large bookings. Menu options include the main a la carte, a bar tapas/light bites selection for grazing and a special kids menu and as well as classic Italian dishes the extensive selection includes both Italian-American and classic British dishes. Happy Hour prices run from noon until 7pm Monday to Friday and they also offer a special Sunday Roast. A great choice of wines and cocktails complement the food and at weekends the Late Lounge at Babucho stays open until 2am.
