About Bacchus Restaurant

Situated in the beautiful Cheshire village of Prestbury, Bacchus is an independent, family owned restaurant with knowledgeable and professional staff that make your visit an experience, rather than just another night out. Head Chef David Cooper has been with Bacchus since they first opened the doors in 2011 and his menus – based on the best locally sourced produce – are modern British with a hint of European. Daily specials are on offer alongside a la carte and fixed price menus and special dietary requirements are catered for with a full allergen list available on request. As the name suggests, great wine is also a feature and the extensive list ably complements the accomplished cooking with plenty of choice at various price points.

I was visiting the area helping my daughter move into a new apartment and she decided to treatment for my birthday. Neither of us had any knowledge of the Bacchus but from the moment we entered the restaurant to the minute we left, everything, welcome, ambience, service and, of course, the food, was perfect. My Angus steak was the best I had for decades, on par with one I had at the restaurant of Antony Worral Thompson. To illustrate, I don’t have to apply any pressure to the knife to cut through it - absolutely superb. I look forward to taking my wife there when we next visit our daughter. In the interim, I wish them all the best.
