About Baileys Bar and Restaurant

Baileys Bar and Restaurant in Buxton is an independent and family run steakhouse and casual dining venue. It’s spread over two floors with well-behaved dogs welcome on the ground floor. The menu showcases a great selection of steaks, locally sourced from Burnham’s Butchers in Chapel-en-le-Frith, as well as other meat and seafood options – plus a choice of burgers. All dietary requirements are catered for. The well-stocked bar has a great range of cocktails and wines to choose from and Baileys is the only UK venue where you can find Moritz Original, Radler, 7 and Epidor - from Barcelona’s oldest brewery, Moritz – available on draught. There’s also live music every weekend, starting around 9.30pm with free admission.

I had booked a table for 3 to enjoy a nice evening out with friends as part of a weekend away in the Peaks. The service, meal and atmosphere was fantastic!I especially appreciated that we did not have to wait to long for the waiter to take our order. He ensured we had our drinks ,our starter and explained that as there was a large party that had ordered at the same time that our mains could take longer. We had a starter, main and dessert and the food was well presented and delicious ! We really liked that the restaurant had a dual function as a bar too, whereby there was in-house music entertainment which set a good atmosphere whereby people could just come along and enjoy drinks and live music later in the evening. We would highly recommend and definitely book again in the future !

Fabulous staff. Attentive but not too much. Smiled all afternoon. Managers should be pleased with how waiting staff present their business. Food and cocktails excellent. Would definago again.

Had a really warm welcome as soon as we walked through the door! Lovely atmosphere Food was devine and very reasonably priced. Two courses with 2 beers and a cocktail was around £85. Would definitely recommend and we will be back soon.

Fantastic meal and service at Baileys restaurant. This is our favourite go to place before any show that we go to at The Opera House. There is a lovely atmosphere, food is always wonderful and the staff are great.

Hands down the best steak I’ve ever had, cooked to perfection. Cocktails really nice and a great selection. Prices as to be expected for the quality of food, not overpriced. Lovely atmosphere, visited on a Monday so was quiet but nice ambience. Waiter was very friendly and welcoming.
