About Baileys Bar and Restaurant

Baileys Bar and Restaurant in Buxton is an independent and family run steakhouse and casual dining venue. It’s spread over two floors with well-behaved dogs welcome on the ground floor. The menu showcases a great selection of steaks, locally sourced from Burnham’s Butchers in Chapel-en-le-Frith, as well as other meat and seafood options – plus a choice of burgers. All dietary requirements are catered for. The well-stocked bar has a great range of cocktails and wines to choose from and Baileys is the only UK venue where you can find Moritz Original, Radler, 7 and Epidor - from Barcelona’s oldest brewery, Moritz – available on draught. There’s also live music every weekend, starting around 9.30pm with free admission.

Delicious meal, and great friendly service. Despite us having to significantly reduce our group size a few weeks out, and the group being delayed arriving by a transport mix up at the end of 9 edges walking challenge, we were made to feel extremely welcome and very well looked after. The food was delicious, with generous portion sizes and all 11 of our group receiving their courses together. There was also great music from a live band downstairs. Thank you Steven and staff for your hospitality.

On our arrival my wife and I and our dog were given a very friendly welcome. Table service for drinks was fast, and even included a water bowl for our dog. We ordered the chateaubriand, and when served, looked extremely appetising. This was backed up by melt in your mouth steak, and superb sauces. We highly recommend this steakhouse, and will visit again when next in the area.

Had lunch at Baileys. Waiter was very good, told us he had only been at Baileys for a few days, he was a credit to his employer. Food was lovely, cod loins and belly pork, served with excellent supporting cast of vegetables and sauce. Good restaurant standard and well above typical pub food, good attention to detail presentation. I have been fortunate to dine in some prestigious restaurants and Baileys would give them a good run for their money, give them a try
