About Baja Mexicali

Baja Mexicali is a vibrant Californian-style restaurant and cocktail bar with branches in Whiteley Shopping Centre and Portsmouth city centre. Both restaurants serve up a fusion of traditional Mexican and Californian cuisine ranging from tacos and burritos to quesadillas and Asada fries. Or if you prefer to ‘picar’ there’s a good selection of small plates to share. And don’t forget a cocktail, craft beer or maybe a tequila to complement your meal. Baja Mexicali has a welcoming, laid-back vibe, friendly service and also has a takeaway and delivery service.

Booked on a recommend and so glad we tried it. Food is delicious with excellent service. We ate at 17-30 so couldn’t comment on service at busier times but table staff were very efficient and attentive without being over bearing. Speed of food from order to delivery was great. Excellent drinks menu and standard Mexican food choices with enough choices but not too many to make decisions difficult. Will most certainly be back, ate at most Whitely restaurants and this was right up there.
