The restaurant stood out from the rest of the buildings from the outside, with it's pinkish/red door. On the inside it had a very different look to it compared to most Indian restaurants. I've drove past the place many times when shopping at Tesco (its on the same street). So last weekend my husband and I decided to give it a try. The staff were very friendly and were helpful in suggesting dishes we might like. In the end we had starters, Pakoras and Seek Kebabs and for the main meal I chose the Hare Lal and Pilau Rice and my husband tried out the Vindaloo. It tasted a lot better than most places I've tried so far. The bill came to around £30 with drinks and coffee, which wasn't too bad. It's a nice place to eat with friends.

I found a drawing pin in my food. I pointed this out to the waiter. We waited for 10 minutes and got no explanation or apology. Instead the manager was too busy laughing and joking with his friends in the corner of the room.

Staying in Huddersfield for business and I was glad to find the Balooshai. A real match for some of my favourite Indians back home. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic meal in pleasant surroundings.

I am surrounded by so many good restaurants in Huddersfield one of them is undoubtly Balooshai. The restaurant is very indian, serving traditional dishes. The quality of the meat is excellent to compliment the spicy dish we bought a special drink. Which really went well. The service was also friendly. Excellent value for money including the location. Attractive inside. Arguably - Indian Cuisine at it's Best!. Will certainly come back. Thanks.

We have been going to Balooshai ever since it was located in Honley, since then the ownership has changed but the food and service has remained top notch. The atmosphere is really laid back but professional as well - Balooshai is also very kid friendly. This really is as good a curry as you will get anywhere in the UK. When I went to Balooshai - the food was amazing and I couldn? stop coming back for more - The house mix - is truly to die for. Would recommend to anyone. Cosy atmosphere, nice friendly waiters and delicious food. A++++++++++++++++++++
