In the City close to Aldgate, with entrances on both Middlesex Street and St Botolph Street, Barcelona Tapas boasts a stunning interior on two levels with elaborate mosaic work -- including a three-dimensional lizard. Display cabinets with Spanish matador and flamenco costumes add to the ambience. It is part of a small, family-run group of restaurants that's been in business more than two decades. The successful formula blends a lively atmosphere with authentic Spanish tapas, music and fine wines.

Found this place unexpectedly, staff were super friendly, warm and inviting and treated to live music. House wine was delicious and the food was amazing, well presented and quick, the service towards the end was a bit slow for our table BUT it was getting busy so can’t complain about the staff at all. 100% will come back.

Great meal at Barcelona’s last night. Very quiet due to Covid. Went for the classic tapas selection with a bottle of Muga. Divine! Service was attentive but not overbearing. The only reason atmosphere was marked down was due to the lack of punters. No fault of the restaurant. Will return in a heartbeat!

Popped in on a Wednesday evening and caught the Champions League football, some lovely Tapas and probably a few too many Beers and Rioja... Good food and great match atmosphere... Will be back again soon
