About Beacon Bar and Kitchen

Overlooking the 18th hole at Painswick Golf Club, near Stroud, Beacon Bar and Kitchen is open to the public as well as golf club members from Wednesday to Sunday. You can drop by for breakfast, lunch, coffee and a homemade cake or afternoon tea and there is seating both inside and on the terrace (when weather permits) with panoramic views over the course. Beacon Bar and Kitchen is also available for hire for any kind of special occasion or event with capacity for up to 100 guests.

A group of ex SHS pupils who left school in 1972 have met up three times over the last 18 months at Beacon Bar and Cafe. Yesterday 15 of us met up and enjoyed a variety of well prepared lunches from the menu having pre-ordered and paid 2 weeks ago. The venue is excellent for a sociable event, food and service could not be faulted and our lunches arrived precisely at the agreed time. We look forward to returning next year!

I took my mum and mother in law to the "seniors" lunch yesterday and had a very nice meal. The roast dinner was very generous and cooked well with plenty of veg including cauliflower cheese which was very tasty. The pudding was apple crumble and custard which again was nice. No choice of the meals but that was fine, we all enjoyed it.

Everyone enjoyed enjoyed the food . The only thing some said they found the hotdogs a bit on the large side they did love the flavour of the hotdogs . Everyone enjoyed the afternoon and said the location was beautiful. Thank you for a very pleasant afternoon

We both enjoyed a really nice Saturday lunch at The Beacon B&K last weekend (24/05) accompanied by our canine friend Olli who tucked into his own treats. Everything was perfect, enhanced by a lovely walk from/to Painswick.

Fabulous Sunday roast. The platter for 2 was a very generous portion & the food was really tasty - in fact my mum said it’s the best roast she’s ever had out, & that’s a huge compliment! The food arrived piping hot and the jug of gravy was more than ample for 2 people! We will definitely be going back. Compliments to the team at the Beacon Bar and Kitchen!
