About Bells Of Peover

An historic Grade-I listed pub situated in the idyllic village of Lower Peover, close to Knutsford, The Bells of Peover sits adjacent to St Oswald Church on the cobbles and both date back to the 14th century. The pub is famous as during WWII American Generals Eisenhower and Patton, stationed nearby, would meet here to discuss strategies and the Stars & Stripes and Union Jack still fly out front. Passionate about food and service, this newly refurbished pub offers it own take on classic British food. Signature dishes include their Pan-seared King Scallops, the 16oz Chateaubriand and their Dark Chocolate Fondant. Everything is made fresh on the premises with gluten-free, vegan and dairy-free menus also available. Robinsons real ales, draught lagers and a well-chosen wine list ably complement the cooking. During the summer months you can dine al fresco and enjoy the manicured gardens.
