In business for more than a quarter century, Beswicks is one restaurant that has stood the test of time, winning awards for both its food and wine. It's housed in a Queen Anne building in Broughton-in-Furness and is furnished in period style. Beswicks serves British food with a French twist and is famous for its duck, steak and game. In classic French style, the award-winning cheeseboard is served before dessert and the wine list here extends to 110 bins. The surrounding area has plenty of attractions including Muncaster Castle, the Eskdale Railway and Lake Coniston. Beswicks is open from Tuesday to Saturday (Sunday & Monday by arrangement) with the A La Carte menu available from approximately 7.15pm.
