As per usual, the meal was first class, cooked and served to perfection. I have been travelling up from Bangor to this beautiful bistro, and haven't been disappointed yet. Keep doing what you are doing as it is fantastic

We had an ok meal - found the food a little lacking in flavour. Best thing we had were the dates in bacon, and worst was the cauliflower wings. At times there didn't seem to be enough staff to deal with the number of diners. Our main concern was that despite being clear about a food allergy, one of the dishes served contained an ingredient we had specifically advised that was an allergen. The ingredient wasn't mentioned on the menu for the dish on which it was included. Thankfully we realised & brought it to the server's attention. The dish was replaced with an allergen free version, however our night could have been very different if we hadn't noticed the error. We were quite disappointed that the server didn't seem to realise how serious this error could have been.

We visited The Bistro for the first time this weekend and had a lovely meal. I have previously eaten in the owners restaurants over the years so I knew we would not be disappointed. The food was delicious, service was very good and the prices are reasonable. The restaurant is very comfortable and the menu has great variety. Have already recommended The Bistro to friends and I will definitely be back as I’m keen to sample the Sunday lunch.

We had been to Ocho when it was at its previous location in Coleraine many times and always had a great visit. We had heard that the bistro had moved to Bushmills and were keen to try it. First impressions had me thinking as to whether I was in the right location or not. The Bistro shares its entrance with a design shop. Overall staff were not particularly friendly at all. The menu had very few tapas options unlike before at its previous location. Maybe at Lunch they don't offer an extended tapas menu? The food that we did choose was all very good and well received. Our table of 6 was booked for 14:30, so perhaps by that point the staff had had enough. The waitress that served us practically dropped the plates into our hands and had a face on her the whole time pretty much. Even the mature guy behind the till was not overly friendly as I attempted to generate a rapport whilst paying. Maybe the english accent? Despite the fact that i work in Bushmills, I won't be recommending this restaurant to collegues or friends due to the borderline rude service. Shame
