We have been to the black cock for lunch many times and it has always been good but went on boxing day and what a disappointment Cold meals wrong meals and the chips were stale, Complained to the waitress and wasn't interested. Be a long time till we go again.

We went to the black cock and had overcooked frozen seafood and undercooked chicken. Terrible food and dangerous hygiene. We shall not be returning.

We eat here every week and highly recommend the specials board. Top Quality at reasonable prices. Meals are far better at the beginning of the week than on Fridays though? Perhaps a different Chef! We ate there on Wednesday and the meal was 10/10 . We went today (Fri) for lunch and it was a 5/10. This is the first time however we have felt let down.

The Black Cock Inn is a welcoming friendly country pub and restaurant. Our food was out of this world, great range for real ales and a lovely family run atmosphere was felt with their open fire and homely charm. I would recommend anyone try this wonderful place set off the beaten track.

First time we went meal was lovely, On the second occasion with new owner's I'm told? We waited well over a hour and the food came stone cold. Other meals where returned around us at least three. This was a few months ago so maybe it's changed now?
