My friend and I visited the Blue Lion Inn on a rainy Wednesday afternoon in August 2011. Many of the reviews about The Blue Lion Inn commented on how friendly the staff are, well they were absolutely right! My friend is from Iran, we have not always received a warm welcome from other pubs around North Wales. But we received a very warm welcome at the Blue Lion Inn, the staff were very attentive and served us a lovely lunch (compliments to the chef) we enjoyed the special lunchtime deal two courses and a bottle of wine for £20, what a bargain! we were made to feel quite special. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.

Dropped in for lunch (party of six) whilst doing Offa's Dyke path, having discovered no pub in Rhuallt. Fantastic welcome, great food and beer, terrific service and all at a very reasonable price. Will definitely go back if in the area.

We went on a Thursday evening didnt know it was the special of two courses for two and a bottle of wine. This was very good value, food was of a good standard. It was lovely to sit out on the terrace and we had service which was friendly and relaxed from Nieve.

as we were out enjoying stunning views we stumbled across this wonderful pub. Debbie Crew the licencee has obviously taken great care in furnishing for comfort and interest 'cause every nook and cranny has something to offer. The menu made it difficult to choose as there was so many, i decided on the goats cheese and black pudding sprinkled with honey....WOW... probably the best starter I've ever had. my wife had the white bait and equally loved it! How could the main course compete, but it did i had the rib eye steak cooked to perfection, my wife having the rump of lamb, which she is still raving about. We wanted a dessert but just couldnt fit it in!! so we decided to have coffee's instead retreating to the terrace to soak up the stunning views in the evening sun..The warm welcome and wonderful service will make this a place we will come back to time and time again.....Bravo Blue Lion

I highly recommend visiting the Blue Lion in Cwm. I have returned on numerous occasions and each time the food has been lovely. The inn it self is very welcoming and the quality of the service, and food is outstanding. If you are in the area and haven't been, go and you won't be disappointed !!

This place is a real gem. i was here for the Jazz night where the amazing band of 7 musicians brought the house down! The food was to die for and everyone was having a great time. The decor is beautiful and the service the best! Well done i cant wait for my next visit!

We visited the Blue Lion as a couple on Friday night an were pleasantly surprised to find the place under new ownership, and there was a great atmosphere. The food was outstanding, simple as that. To start we had bury black pudding topped with roasted goats cheese, then traditional to our welsh roots, we both went for the welsh lamb rump. This was served with mint pea puree, roasted carrots and baby broccoli, with dauphinoise potato. Their lamb was so pink and tender, and the sauce was to die for. By far the best food in the area! To finish, we had a white chocolate creme brulee, amazing, say no more!!! top class food and top class service, very friendly staff! will be back!
