Great pub with fantastic real ales, the menu choice is slightly limited by to days standard but there is always something to suit everyone and its all homemade/home cooked and beautifully fresh. Portions are pretty big but if you can manage a pud then there's plenty of proper english one's to choose from. Staff are always helpful & friendly and it is exceptional value for money.

The food here is marvelous, deliciously home-cooked and at very affordable prices. The menu itself is quite small, however they have daily specials on the chalk board to suit all tastes (lamb tagine, fish pie, hotpot etc), and are all keenly priced. The cod, chips and mushy peas is huge and costs less than £6!
