Brizzolaris Italian Coffee Bar and Kitchen occupies the same Market Street premises where Angelo and Concetta Brizzolari first opened an ice cream parlour in 1908, creating a family business that became woven into the fabric of the town. Following the retirement of the Brizzolari family in 2018, the building was sympathetically restored by local owner Emma-Lea Dalton, who reopened it in late 2021 with the aim of preserving its heritage while introducing a fresh chapter. Today the café serves speciality Italian coffee, homemade cakes, traditional ice cream, breakfast, brunch and light lunches, with menus featuring freshly prepared focaccia, panini, salads and seasonal dishes alongside vegetarian and vegan options. Thoughtfully refurbished with a warm, contemporary interior that celebrates its history, Brizzolaris has quickly re-established itself as one of Furness' favourite independent cafés, combining nostalgic charm with modern hospitality.
