The historic Burlton Inn dates back to the 18th century and can be found in the hamlet of Burlton on the main drag between Shrewsbury and Ellesmere. The pub has retained its charm and you will find warming open fires, oak panelling and a cosy snug area with a big wood burner. Expect hearty British home-cooked food, real ales and a substantial wine selection. For summer dining, the patio area is perfect for enjoying views of the country garden. There are six guestrooms all with en-suite bathroom facilities and private entrances and many of the rooms have lovely views over the Shropshire countryside. It’s an ideal base to explore the surrounding area, including Hawkstone Park Follies, the falconry centre or a simple hike in the great outdoors. Well-behaved dogs are welcome here too.
