About Cafe Fish

A former Good Food Guide Fish Restaurant of the Year, Café Fish sits on the upper floor of the Calmac Pier at Tobermory on the Isle of Mull and enjoys splendid views out across Tobermory Bay to Calve island and the Sound of Mull. From the al fresco terrace you can watch the amazing sunset and see the daily catch coming in. Their own fishing boat lands langoustine and lobster with other local boats landing other treasures headed straight for your plate including monkfish, dover sole, cod, halibut, john dory, haddock, plaice, scallops and squid. Café Fish is open Monday to Saturday evenings throughout the season from March to October with an ever-changing Specials Board to complement the main menu. Lonely Planet have recommended Café Fish as one of their top five restaurants to eat in Scotland.

Superb in every way. View on a sunny spring evening. Staff, welcoming and attentive. Food……. Amazing So good we went back the next night.

The food, service and location far exceeded my expectations. I would have happily eaten my way through the menu every night, but sadly for me, it was closed on my remaining two evenings. So I hope to be back in the future when it will be my number one choice.

My husband and I visited Tobermory for a couple of days and we had a meal at Cafe Fish. It is absolutely perfect. There is so much choice on the menu and they also have daily specials. The staff were extremely welcoming an offered guidance when making a decision on what to order. In short, if you want to enjoy eating superb sea food, in a relaxing environment with stunning views and friendly, very knowledgeable staff, then visit Cafe Fish. You won't be disappointed.

This was every bit as good as we had hoped from reading the reviews. Fantastic location and we loved the decor. The food was wonderful and the service was good. The smoked salmon and the bouillabaisse were fantastic and the salad with its dressing , delicious. Thank you.

Another fantastic meal at Cafe Fish, despite us being vegetarian this is without doubt our favourite place to eat on Mull. Tasty, colourful imaginative food which never disappoints. Parmesan and spinach potato cake absolutely delicious, book in advance as so popular. Staff so lovely and friendly and helpful.

Great vegetarian options as well as seafood. While my husband had fantastic caviar and an oyster to start, followed by a half lobster - I had the leek and potato cake and vegetarian Tom Yum soup. The flavours were incredible, so tasty and a treat to have something different. Top tip though, wear clothes that you're not planning on wearing again for your trip. The smell of fish really does stick to everything!

Best meal we had on our trip in Scotland! We made a reservation for a second night while still at the restaurant it was that good! An absolute must visit if you like seafood.
