About Casa Tapas

Located opposite Rawtenstall Cricket Club, Casa Tapas is a Mediterranean restaurant and Tapas bar with one of the largest tapas selections in the north west. You can choose individual 'tapa', go for the set menu for two which offers a wide range of hot and cold tapas to share, select from the a la carte menu which includes Spanish classics like paella or choose from the daily blackboard specials. All in all there are some 90 different dishes. The wine list is comprehensive and almost exclusively Spanish other than some marquee champagnes. And if beer is more your thing then Cruzcampo is served on draught along with more Spanish bottled beers. Casa Tapas has recently been refurbished and has a live Spanish classical guitarist and singer every Saturday night.

Hi I'm Portuguese and loved this restaurant, the best choice you are. 6 stars.

Went on Saturday 19/10/13 with our friends. Ordered the set meal for £21.95.Booked for 6.30pm.Glad we booked it for then as it was very busy by 8 pm. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely fab, could not fault it one bit. They always asked when you wanted to be served the next course of the set meal, there was no rush they kept saying. The only thing i would say was the guitar player, not got the x factor,he looked like Andy Capp from the newspaper cartoon.

Went here with the boyfriend on a Saturday night, arrived at 8pm without a booking but was seated with our first course by 8.45pm. We ordered the set meal menu 2. IT WAS HUGE! Lovely cold platter of meats, cheese, garlic bread (yum), olives accompanied by chilli potatoes. Then the tapas - four dishes AND paella of the day (which was chicken when we went). We arrived really hungry and left in pain we had eaten so much. The food was delicious and we didn't want to leave any. Highly recommended! Friendly staff, big portions, good quality and good value!

first visit last night 3/8/2012,food fantastic staff great and friendly, till the time myself and friend decided to use our electronic cigarette then went down hill from there,we was told that other guest's would have thought we was smoking,How i dont know it light's up blue and is only a vapour no smell and whom would light up a proper cigarette inside anyway,it doesnt cause any distress to anyone,we was a party of 3 and spent 120.00 pound's then was told we couldnt have coffee outside on there seating area, and they treated us very rudley after that,so we dont feel we can go back, they was very pleased to take our money's but with no smile and bill just dumped on the table.

What a gem of a restaurant! Went to casa tapas on saturday night for my wife's 30th birthday. We were a party of 20, so i was a bit worried as to how it would work with so many people (we had pre-ordered around 60-70 hot Tapas!). I had no need to fear, everything went great. the atmosphere of the restaurant is great, the staff very accomodating and the food is superb - our uncle (who is from Almeria) said it was up there with the most authentic spanish food he'd had in England. Try it and find out for yourself!

We went on Friday evening, we were greeted on the door by a cheery member of the waiting on staff which is always nice seeing people enjoy what they do. We were shown to our table and given a decent enough wine list and choices of drinks, in keeping with the theme we opted for a spanish wine and it was delicious , and the food equally matched the fantastic staff and evening, the choice was brilliant and the tapas was some of the best I have eaten I would highly recommend the patas bravas and the salt cod. All in all an absolute gem of a restaurant and well worth a visit.

Absolutely Foul , The atmosphere is dreary at best and the Food is repulsive . Someone Shut It Down !!!

food was amazing, already had high expectations when we came but the food and service exceeded that. we live in Manchester but it was well worth travelling a short distance to feel like you're on holiday eating at a tapas in Spain. the atmosphere and staff were friendly and with a large menu you cant go wrong, will definitely be going back soon!!!!

I have been several times and have enjoyed my past visits to such an extent we have recommended the place to friends. However, we visited last night (10/12/11), taking some friends, making a group of 6. We were disappointed to be imposed with a 10% service charge as there were 6 in our party - this type of discrimination is unfair - I mean, where is the difference in serving a table of say 8 guests, or 2 tables of 4 guests each? Anyway, when we tried to mention it to the boss, and complain about an element of the food, he was very unhelpful. I for one will not be spending my money in there again!
