About Charcutia

Set opposite the church on London Road, Charcutia brings something a little different to Holmes Chapel’s dining scene, combining the feel of a relaxed wine bar with a menu built around sharing. As the name suggests, artisan charcuterie and cheese boards are central to the offering, complemented by small plates, focaccia, baked cheeses and seasonal specials designed to pair naturally with the carefully curated wine selection. Regular tasting events, live music and a sociable atmosphere add to the appeal, whether dropping in for a glass and nibbles or settling in for an unhurried evening with friends.

I was lucky enough to go with a friend to the tasting session for the new summer menu a couple of weeks ago. So…. I thought I would take another friend there for a treat. We were not disappointed…. It was lovely. The food and drink were delicious and the atmosphere lovely. Quality and quantity of food was spot on. Don’t do what a lot of places do and cut corners by reducing either of these. Really enjoyed our visit. Thank you. Will definitely return soon.

I would just like to thank Paul (owner) who went above and beyond on Saturday night. Whilst dining with friends I received a phone call with a family emergency. Paul very kindly gave me a lift home and then went back for my friends as well. As usual food was fantastic, staff friendly as always and a great atmosphere! A great addition to the village.

We always have a wonderful time here! The wine selection is fantastic and the food is truly excellent. I highly recommend the new mushroom pate! The staff are always so friendly and welcoming which helps add to the already great atmosphere.

We had a fantastic evening at Charcutia. The food was excellent, the service was attentive and welcoming, and the red wine was superb. The host singing added a unique touch to the atmosphere, making the experience even more memorable. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience, and we’ll definitely be back!

What an enjoyable evening for so many reasons. Firstly, the welcome and attentiveness from all the staff was lovely. The place looks so gorgeous and the wine I picked out from a nice selection was delicious: a Chardonnay Sauvignon. We assembled a charcuterie board from the range of cheeses and meats on offer; no matter that some were not available as very fine suggestions of alternatives were made. It looked and tasted amazing. Really high quality. It was midweek, unusual for me to go out then, and Charcutia had many empty tables, possibly because of the hot weather and there being no outside seating. A shame for them it was so quiet as it is such a good addition to Holmes Chapel. However, this suited us as it was not noisy and we were able to chat. I’d definitely recommend.
