About Cheikhos Restaurant

For more than 20 years Cheikho’s Italian restaurant on Church Street has been a fixture of the Lutterworth dining scene. It’s run by the same family as Cheikho’s in Oadby which has an equally long pedigree and both venues are known for their reasonably priced Italian food and excellent customer service. Cheikho’s in Lutterworth has a rustic feel with terracotta flooring, white textured walls, ceiling beams, a vintage chandelier and dried flowers adding an extra touch. Everything is prepared using the freshest ingredients and the menu offers a range of classic Italian dishes with vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options available and an extensive wine list to complement the food.  Cheikho’s can cater for larger groups as well as couples and is open Monday to Saturday from 6pm to 10pm.

Excellent freshly cooked food. I really can’t fault it. Service is also good and attentive. I can’t understand why it’s not packed to the hilt every night. The best restaurant around here by far!

Neither of their emails confirmed I had paid a £40 deposit. On arriving on time, the manager had received no notification that the booking existed. This was embarrassing for me in front of friends we had taken and other dinners. If I had not received an email I to not think the manager would have believed I had made the booking. I received no apology just some muttering that he would have to find another table for another booking he had. Whilst the food was excellent unfortunately the service was not very good. This appeared to be because there were only two people trying to take orders, deliver drinks and food, clear tables, answer requests etc, during a full Saturday night Service. They had no time to be pleasant to their customers. We were not asked if the food was ok or if we needed anything else, more drinks maybe, during the whole evening. We had to wait for considerable time for our desert order to be taken and then again for the deserts to arrive. We had to request the final bill four times. I think the other people who have left reviews went to a different restaurant! The staff should receive medals for doing their best to keep the restaurant running without support of the owner who could not be bothered to reply to my email.

My twin and I were staying in Lutterworth for the large VW event at Stanford Hall and visited Cheikhos on the Saturday night. Every aspect of our meal was exemplary. All our food courses were excellent as was our bottle of Italian wine. Not surprisingly the restaurant was full and the atmosphere was good. Great service throughout the evening. We would highly recommend Cheikhos and it is probably wiser to book.

First time we’ve been and it was well worth it. Very friendly welcome. It has a lovely atmosphere. The food is fantastic, plenty of choices, well cooked and really good portion sizes. Will definitely be going back.

Our first visit but we thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be back again. On arrival were greeted with a friendly welcome. The menu had plenty to choose from and we thoroughly enjoyed, and would recommend, the sharer for two as a starter. Our main courses were really enjoyable and had plenty of flavour and we're a good portion size. Worth booking as it was busy but we will definitely go back.

Booked a Birthday meal for hubby and it was a lovely experience from start to finish ,a traditional ltalian restaurant vibe which we like. The starters were lovely ,garlic King prawns and chicken advocado For the mains we chose house special steaks which were perfectly cooked ,tender and juicy with chargrilled veg Tiramasu and profiteroles for dessert were again just lovely ,as was the coffee We will definitely return and thought it was excellent value too
