About Cheshire Line Tavern

This former railway station, built in the nineteenth century, is halfway between Cheadle village and Parrs Wood and is a lovely location for family gatherings, celebrations or a simple Sunday lunch with a pint. The exterior is pretty and has an extensive outside dining area to enjoy during the warmer months. Inside, the pub has been tastefully converted and is warm and inviting. The main menu caters for all tastes with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free choices as well as fish dishes, steaks, burgers, grills and pasta and pub favourites. And on Sundays, the carvery is not to be missed – a choice of meats alongside piles of roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings.

This is a great place to enjoy Pub food. Sunday carvery is the delightful experience you can enjoy. Portion is good, second helpings offered for the big ones. Choice is delightful. I have been here many times with our friends and relations. I am looking forward to a late lunch today. I know in my dreams I shall not be disappointed. Hope we get a table close to the railway line! You can witness a goods train crossing if you are so lucky! Cheers.

This place is absolutely the ultimate getaway from the pub food to the cream of the crop. Been here lots of time with family and the quality only gets better, the service is amazing the staff are ambassadors to this old railway getaway. Amazing choice at quality price and presentation, well done all.

Sadly I had to attend a funeral wake at the Cheshire Line but the staff and the service made everything so much more easier for me. I had to arrive later than the other members of the party because I was working that day. The landlord put me at easy straight away and directed me to the other mouners. It is always a bit daunting walking in to pub as a female on her own and espexcially on a sad occasion but I felt the warm welcome as soon as I walked through the door.

We had a meal at the Cheshire line tavern on 26th Sept. 11 of us, and each of us were really impressed. When we booked they knew it was for a birthday and the table was dressed up beautifully to make it special. The meals were served correctly, and all together, massive portions!! Would certainly recommend and we're looking at the Christmas menu. :-)

What a very pleasant place to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon. My group of eight received a warm welcome and good service. We did get a meal served wrong but it was quickly and politely rectified. I did notice a complaint from another table but the man complaining was very abrupt and rude to the manager and staff in turn. I always say you should treat others as you would like to be treated. If your complaint is genuine they will sort it out and look after you. We make it our Sunday meeting place and tend to see a lot of familiar faces, that must speak for itself. Thanks
