We have visited L’Anatra a number of times over the years when we have stayed in the Cotswolds. Always good food and service.

Booked restaurant in advance of our short break at the Chester House hotel as we knew they get busy. Was right choice as they were fully booked. We both had a lovely meal and the service was great. Relaxed in the bar area afterwards. Would recommend and definitely use the restaurant when we visit again.

We visited the L' Anatra for an evening meal during the heatwave. We were welcomed with a smile and offered a table outside which was lovely. I was a little irked initially when the waitress's and waiters seemed to not notice we were there and served a table just feet away that had only just sat down ! After a little wait, we were attended to and from there on in, all was fine with friendly and helpful service. The food was brought in good time and was well presented. It was of a good standard and sensibly priced. Next time I visit Bourton, I would definitely eat there again.

I don't know where to start but we were blown away by the amazing food and also the lovely waitress who couldn't do enough for us . She was welcoming and extremely polite and the biggest welcoming smile . Thankyou for having is at your lovely restaurant.

We had a lovely meal in the restaurant - staff were attentive and friendly. Food was delicious as was the wine. On a lovely sunny evening it was great to have the option of indoor or outdoor eating. As we were staying in the hotel it was so convenient. Would visit again.

We dined at the hotel’s 2 AA Rosette bar and restaurant and found the experience a bit mixed. The staff were genuinely excellent — professional, friendly, and very attentive throughout the evening, which we really appreciated. The setting was pleasant as well. However, the food didn’t quite suit our tastes. My mushroom pakora starter was quite dry, and both my slow‑cooked beef and my husband’s guinea fowl were much saltier than we’re used to. It may simply be a matter of personal preference, but the seasoning made it difficult for us to enjoy the dishes. Dessert, on the other hand, was delicious and beautifully presented.Given the premium pricing, we had hoped for a more consistent meal. We also noticed that the smart‑casual dress code wasn’t being followed by many diners, which affected the overall atmosphere. We appreciate the effort behind a 2 AA Rosette kitchen, and the service was excellent, but overall the visit didn’t quite meet our expectations.
