China Red is great for people with food intolerances. They understood the concept of no wheat/gluten/dairy and catered beautifully for me, so that I could eat with my family. They even made something for each course while the others ate the banquet, so I didn't have to wait for just a main course. Well done China Red - we need more retaurants like yours.

John and I visited on 21/05/2013 and found it to be very spacious and welcoming with a large fish pool feature. The staff are superb and very helpful. We sampled the Banquet for 2 the food taste fresh and well presented both quality quantity price and freshness Great. We shall certainly be back again and again.If you decide to give it a try I can assure you will not be disappointed and will return again. Derek Mitchell.

We have been there lots of times, food always very good. Not recommended to go if quiet , as staff hover over you so to me that is not relaxing.
Banquet is amazing but low and behold if you are not having it !! You will be told or in are case nearly charged extra. My only fault with China Red is the toilets the ladies sinks are disgusting, with all the staff hovering over us, why can't one be cleaning the toilet!!!!!!
Would still go back - but not as often as the rest of the family would like to.

The staff made it a very bad night as they could not of been more rude, The food made it worse as the party of us was very ill after eating there. As I work in front of house my self I do know what i am talking about. I will never go there again. We was over charged so if you do go please do not make a complaint as they do not take it well and do turn rude.,

After reading several good reviews for this restaurant I thought my work friends and I would try it out, I am afraid to say I feel as if I had been to a entirely different restaurant from that I read about.
Don't get me wrong i can not fault the food but the customer service was so poor I would not subject anyone to the same experience i had. Firstly we ordered drinks before our food, as one of my work friends are diabetic we had to order Diet Coke, This is were the complaints started. The coke tasted like it needed the gas changing as it was flat and vile to taste, after we made this aware to their staff we were told to basically deal with it, After several minutes they exchanged the drink for another BUT they charged for the exchange. After this incident we swiftly left the restaurant due to the rudeness and sheer arrogance of their staff members, on leave my friends was violently sick in view of the restaurant, we made the staff aware of this fact and we were told " It is not our food it is your own body, Complain about us, we don't care". This is ridiculous.
Over all I would not send anyone here, The only pleasant experience was the Water feature.
I shall be following my complaint up and inform the council of this affair.

NEVER AGAIN shallI go to China Red, the food made my bowels move quiet quickly after eating the food and feeling rather green round the gills, But the sheer rudeness of the staff and management was something to be left less desired. I will personally not recommend this restaurant to any of my friends as i was supposed to be going here for my Christmas staff meal I'm afraid this will now not be happening now.......
