Christopher’s Caribbean Carvery has relocated to The Royal Oak at Catshill, Bromsgrove marking the next chapter for the UK’s first Caribbean Carvery. The new venue opened its doors in this Punch bub in October 2025, offering its trademark fusion of a traditional British carvery and vibrant Island-inspired Caribbean flavours. The carvery is open for lunch and dinner Tuesday to Sunday right through from lunchtime onwards.

What can I say? First of all it was a Friday evening, we arrived just after 6pm. We left at about 7.15pm. Me and my wife were the only customers in the entire restaurant area. The food, lacked any presentation at all, like something you would be served back in the 1980's. There was no wine list, and Limited drinks available. The waitress was young and very inexperienced, lack of training, not her fault obviously. We won't be returning. This place won't last much longer, they really need to step it up massively!

Disappointed. Looking forward to good Jamaican/Caribbean food. And all they offered was basically a English Carvery. The menu wasn't on a Saturday evening. I'll not recommend the place. My friends were gutted too.

Food was lovely, staff not organised in what they were doing! No ciders or red wine! Payed £20 deposit and still very expensive, cant see where my deposit went? Thought it would of come of the bill

I took my mum and Nan here for a Sunday dinner. We travelled up about half an hour and parking was fine they’ve got a good size car park. We each had the carvery and it was delicious. Great size portions especially for the price you’re paying, massive Yorkshire’s (included with all) and massive slice of mac and cheese (extra add on but that’s fine). We all cleaned our plates so that should say it all. Service was lovely, they were really kind and patient with my Nan who has a hearing impairment. Nice family friendly vibe restaurant. Literally no complaints, we’ll definitely be back another time :)

Our first visit at christophers carvey yesterday for my wife and hers sisters birthday. I pre booked our tables as we had a large group of people 25 in total. I had great comms over email and had to pay a deposit because of the numbers this was made easy by online payment. We were informed before the eveing that the resturant dosn't do carveys in the week but they did offer this to us as an option because of the numbers of the group. It was a busy evening in the pub and the atmosphere was great. Reggae music playing in the back and people enjoying themselves and drinks were flowing. Everybody ordered the food at the bar and we were informed of a 25min wait due to the chefs potting up some fresh grub. We had a vast selection of food on our tables mainly curry mutton, brown stew chicken, Jerk chicken and some fish and finger licking chicken burgers. The older members also had the chance to have the carvey as this was put on for the evening. The food came out relativley quick with the dutch pot food coming out first and the burgers coming out last due to the nature of the resturant we understood this and we were informed before hand as they are cooked fresh. Reviews from the group over the food was great and people lapped up the dishes. The kids raved over the burgers and grandad was gassed over his extra large carvery. The dinning/serving staff were helpful and friendly if but i feel they needed one more on shift to help out at the bar as it was busy at times. Once finished with the food it was cleared away quickly and the staff brought out the birthday cakes with candles and sang happy birthday with the group. We were informed that the resturant closed at 21:30 but if we wanted to stay we could head into the bar area as it was only us left in the pub so we played pool and had some more drinks. Big shout out the the bar man Reece for making the evening. Highly recommend this place give it a go.

We went on a Friday and didn’t realise carvery is only on a weekend - however the Caribbean roast was still available and didn’t disappoint! Some of the group had the mutton curry and the vegan curry - the plates were all left clean! The service was good and decent value for money - we will definitely be back again.

What a find ! Absolutely stunning food ! Couldn't believe the size of the portions , and the value for money ! ... everything on the plate was an infusion of flavour ! Highly recommended!
