Excellent!! My friend and I had the selection of meats while our wives had the vegetarian chickpea curry. Beef and chicken were tender and succulent, the curry mutton was great! Plantain, rice and peas, mash and roast potatoes mix veg and tasty gravy!! What's not to like! We will be back to try the weekday menu!! My advice.....book a table!!!

We went to Christopher's on 30 may 26 expecting a nice meal.. We we're shown to a table that was so close to other diners that you would think we were all together, nobody would have been able to pass by us to the other table, we moved to a different table. The waitress came to us and asked what we would like to drink , we asked for a bottle of wine ,when she brought our bottle to she put two glasses upside down and put the bottle on the table and walked away without a word said. Our table was booked for 1 o'clock, at 1.20 they started to put the food out, slopping water and food onto the floor, which he did clear up . The food was disgusting, Beef kept warm in water , the Mutton curry was near enough all bone ,very little meat on the bones ,the roast potatoes were obviously boiled and then grilled to look roasted, the peas and rice had no peas in it ,they were mixed into the cabbage, we were queuing for the food in an area to small ,once you got the food it was a struggle to get past other customers, on the way to your table you have to collect your own cutlery and they were so cheap and nasty that it was a struggle to cut anything with the blunt knife. The person serving the meat was complaining about being hot and sweaty, disgusting behaviour. When our plates were collected she asked if we enjoyed our meal , I said not really and her reply wasn't to ask us why we didn't enjoy she said well you ate it and walked away. We spent more than £52 on food and drink, and I can honestly say that it was the worst dining out experience that we have ever had , we are so incredibly disappointed as we were looking forward to our meal out , there was no starter's on the menu and no deserts, pathetic,. We know the waitress Aimee from her time at the Swan in Fairfield, she had a bad attitude there and it clearly hasn't improved any ,We will never return to that place and have already stopped two family members taking their families there .

We drove from Tamworth because we had heard that the food was good. The staff were lovely and the food was delicious one of the best meals we’ve had, the portions were big and the food was hot, we really enjoyed it and will definitely return. It’s a great place.

Atmosphere is really nice. Staff are so friendly. Love the relaxed feel. We had the chickpea curry and adult carvery today, there was a nice variety of food items. It’s our second time so we’ll definitely be back. Just an observation from comments I’ve seen - You are seated and then they take your order and bring you a ticket to take to the carvery deck; it’s really straightforward.
