We visited the restaurant for the first time on Friday evening. My husband is Italian, and we eat at many restaurants, and decided to try this one due to the favourable reviews. We was extremely disappointed and will not be returning! Firstly we was seated adjacent to the toilet entrance which was a very busy area, the restaurant was very noisy, seats too close together, and appeared to be a shortage of staff. Had one drink throughout the meal as couldn't get the attention of the waitress and wasn't approached for a refill either. Starter was not as described, should have been cheese with parma ham, got cheese with salami. Garlic bread inedible as burnt, overcooked to a crisp! Steak was ordered as well done, arrived still mooing, had to be sent back. Osso Bucco very fatty and drown in sauce so couldn't taste the vegetables. This is one of the worse Italian meals we have ever eaten and we will not be returning.

Having eaten at Ciao Bella on numerous occasions over the past 5 years with my husband and also friends, I decided to take our son for lunch on his 20th birthday before 'hitting' the shops. He said it was the best Italian meal he's ever had and now understands why we don't go anywhere else to dine when we're in Manchester. The food is absolutely fantastic and the owners and staff are so warm and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We can't recommend Ciao Bella highly enough for a wonderful gastronomic experience. We will certainly be returning time and time again in the future!

After visiting Ciao Bella on Saturday night I would strongly recommend a visit as the atmosphere, quality of food and service can only be described as first class.I had booked the table on the strength of the reviews I had read together with a real liking for Italian food. This was definitely a very good choice and will go back.

Very good food and large portion with fair price. The owner and staff always give the best service. I think no one will be disappointed!!! Excellent experience at Ciao Bella!

I went here last night after reading some fantastic reviews. My friend and I could not have been more disappointed!! The menu does not reflect the food that actually arrives at the table. The food is cheap and of very poor quality. As an example my friend ordered pasta with strips of beef. What arrived was pasta bolognese without the bolognaise!! It was mince meat too! When the chef came to the table he actually said people can't chew the beef that's why they mince it!! Mine was tasteless and of poor value. We waited 40 minutes just for the starters, then the glass of wine that we ordered came begrudgingly. The desserts weren't much better. I would not eat here again for free, nor would I recommend it. We weren't the only diners that left unhappy either!

we visited Ciao Bella last Friday on a wim basis and as a change from China Town. Both of us were extremely taken back by the friendly staff and the quality of the food.... My favourite restaurant in Manchester used to be Alberts Shed I can now say that Ciao Bella tops their very high standards and has become our top restaurant in Manchester. I would recommend that anyone gives this restaurant a chance as you wont be disappointed...!!!!
