Its delicious mediterranean cuisine is packed with great ideas and superb tastes with great variety for differing pallets . It is an ideal venue situated at the top of Micklegate and a great place for a group meal secluded away from the passers by.

Delrio's is one of my fave restaurants! It is a very busy little place so the service can lapse a little but the food is out of this world! I recommend the scallops with pancetta and spinach special! The food 100% makes up for struggling to get a waiters attention!

Delrio's was recommended by my sister who studied in York for a year as the place to go for Italian food. It's in a cellar. We sat in an alcove which was pretty quirky. The food was totally gorgeous, as too was the Italian waiter. We returned on the Sunday and were asked if we would like to sit outside. Another surprise!!! They have a patio right on York walls - oh and a little candle-lit cocktail bar (which we didn't realise on our first visit). This time we ordered from the specials board (which we weren't aware of on our first visit) and the food was fantastic. Great vegetarian options and by far one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten - even in Italy!
