Recently relocated from Newcastle Quayside to Osborne Road in Jesmond, Dinithi Restaurant offers authentic Sri Lankan, South Indian and broader Asian flavours. With four skilled chefs specialising in dishes passed down through generations, there’s a richly diverse menu – ranging from dosas and kothurot to seafood curries, traditional hoppers and Sri Lankan specialties such as Lamprais — all made fresh daily. I have been twice to Dinithi Restaurant and both times I was very pleased with the service and the food. I highly recommend and I will be going again as I was impressed.

The food was fantastic and the service was really good. The restaurant was a bit chilly at first (warmed up after an hour) and the walls / decor could be a bit high quality. The food was excellent though.

We had a meal a little after 5pm on Friday before a concert at the glasshouse. The service was super. The food was beautiful. We live 100 miles away and will definitely book again when we are in the area. It would have been even better if it resturant was a little warmer. It was on the chilly side and it had only just opened for the evening service. Even though, highly recommend.
