I have been to Dinomat on three different occasions now, the first time me and my partner were seated very quickly as we only had an hour for lunch this was great . Sadly that's where the greatness ended we were left for over half an hour with only a menu for company this was not normal practice in a restaurant so we left. The second time we actually got the chance to order a drink but never received it or it may have arrived after the hour we sat there then left again.Once again we gave Dinomat another chance mainly because of the reviews on this site and yet again for the third time were disappointed to be seated and yet again left alone for nearly an hour AGAIN! I have promised never to go there again as the service on 3 separate occasions was in one word dreadful !

went to Dinomat for the first time on Saturday with a friend and will definitely be going back. The place is big and spacious and has great views overlooking Liverpool one. I had the cajun chicken sandwich which came with lovely crispy fries, salad, coleslaw and onion rings. The sandwich was an open tortillia filled with cajun chicken, salsa and sour cream. Not the cheapest of eats for a lunch time but the the food was really good.

We ended up here last night (Saturday) as we couldn't get into the restaurant we wanted to eat in. This place looked OK on the face of it.
We were a party of nine and asked if there was a table suitable. The girl who met us didn't seem that interested, looked around at what was a more than half empty restaurant/diner and told us that we'd have to wait 20 minutes. And I mean the place was OVER HALF EMPTY, with seats for approximately 70 - 80 people by the looks of things - no exaggeration!
This girl didn't seem to be 'with it' at all. Not a good start.
Two minutes later she said there was room for us now - surprise surprise! So we were seated. Throughout the meal the service by this girl was pants. At one point she was at the end of our table, halfway through taking our order, and started TEXTING on her mobile that she was trying to hide in her apron. Unbelievable!
When asked to replace the empty sauce bottle she seemed to reluctantly take the bottle, but didn't return with another one, leaving one of our party top scour another table for one. There were waitresses eating their dinner off the counter in view of all the diners.
The only plus point is that the food was good quality - but as for service it was abismal. Strangely, we didn't leave a tip!

monday lunch time i took the family along to dinomat as it was my daughters birthday. We had starters and mains and the bill was surprisingly quite low.The service was excellent the staff were very friendly and the waitress even sat down with us for a quick chat to see what our plans were for the rest of the day.i would definitely recommend this restaurant i will be returning here my self.

Very disappointed to find menu options marked as vegetarian friendly containing anchovies. (a small fish). Lacking decent vegetarian options on the menu...but my meat eating friends loved the food here and experience of a proper American diner here in the UK.

I have been to Dinomat a couple of times now. Both times, the food was superb. However, the jewel in the crown is the service. I have eaten in hundreds of restaurants, and the service here beats them all.

My friend and i went for a quick lunch on Tuesday and went to Dinomat for the first time and we were surprised at how much we enjoyed it. We expected the usual type of burger bar but from the moment we went thru the doors we knew we had found our new lunch time haunt, from the manager down to the bar man everyone had a smile and were very polite and helpful.
The food arrived quickly and was very tasty, my burger was huge and my friend ordered a mountain of nachos. We never had room for desserts but we will be going back very soon.

i went for a meal here on sunday, really didnt enjoy the meal the chicken wings were really fatty and the dip was just oil.My friend ordered the corn dogs which were very bland and salty for my main i ordered the bacon pizza half the pizza was burnt and was also very thin. When we arrived we waited at least 15minutes for our milkshakes to arrive they were supposed to be thick shakes but they wernt they were very thin and bubbly.we told our waitress and she said she would let the kitchen know what we thought of the food she did not return and we had to pay full price for our meal even tho we did not enjoy it our bill came to £47.avoid DINOMATT

I visited Dinomat with friends last Saturday before i night out and found the whole experience to be quite poor.
we were seated quickly and the surrounds are fine i like the kitsch 50s diner look, and the selection of American beers is quite different, the Brooklyn beer is nice
sadly things went downhill from there, when our food arrived it wasnt very good, pretty average for the price we paid, i ordered the Philadelphia sandwich and could do a better job at home it was tough and stringy (JRs do a better one) and my friends ordered farmhouse chicken which for the price was tiny
the service was quite poor too, nobody came to check if we were ok during the whole experience, we asked one waitress if we could order more drinks and she promptly forgot, when i ventured to the bar myself i was told i could not add the drinks to our table bill but had to ask the waitress (which would have been fine if one had showed up).
and even when it came to getting our bill the staff seemed very lackadaisical.
it certainly wasn't so busy the staff couldn't have checked we were enjoying ourselves but id be hard pressed to visit again or recommended to friends even if they were just having a bad day there are better American themed dining experiences around Liverpool, if the staff get a bit more involved and the menu has a overhall (or portions sizes at least!) then it could be better

I took my daughter for lunch to Dinomat for a treat today (2nd July 09). The Restaurant was very quiet. We ordered 2 Diet Cokes, they arrived in very narrow Hiball glasses which were full of ice so the amount of Coke you actually receive is very small, these were charged at an extortionate £1.70 each. One of the starters we had ordered was unavailable so chose an alternative. I had Salmon & Crab Pate with toasts. The crab was tinned & "toasts" were 3 pieces of fried french bread this was charged at (£5.95). For main course we had chosen a "Dinomat Platter" for two (£11.95) Everything on this platter apart from the prawns & tinned crab was fried and so oozing in cooking oil we chose not to eat it. When the waitress came over to ask if everything was ok with our meal I did say I wasn't very happy with it to which she replied "Oh I'm sorry about that!" and walked off. Not wanting to make a fuss we paid & we left. I would not recommend Dinomat.
