Sunday Dinner 29/01/2023: Really great pub, smashing location, plenty of parking. Staff were super friendly and helpful, we sprung a doggy surprise on them and they still managed to get us seated straight away, perfect table next to the fire, food came pretty quickly considering how busy they were (private function on, place was packed!) and the quality was superb! They even had a box of dog biscuits on the side that went down a treat!! We'll be back for sure :)

Food was lovely, however we booked online for 4:30pm on Sunday. We felt under pressure to order, eat and then leave due to it closing at 6pm.

First time at DoW and we were really happy with the food. Copious amounts for a Sunday roast and delicious. Staff mostly delightful and definitely attentive (one a bit grumpy but the others made up for it). Only two slight complaints: the Yorkshires had obviously been reheated and were hard/crispy. And the apple crumble was perfect for someone with a super-sweet tooth but was too sweet for me.

Sunday lunch was lovely, staff where we attentive. Beautiful real coal fires. The only criticism I have is there is not enough garvy for the meal. I did ask for more and I was presented with a tiny jug for 3 people.

Great Saturday lunch meal. Fish and chips so tasty and huge portions Really good to have sausage and mash on the menu and the Guinness cake was sublime. Attentive service as always. See you soon and thank you again
