I eat at Fabios every time I come to Banbury - by far the best place to eat around. The atmosphere is perfect for a romantic meal for two or a catch up with friends. The food is well presented with a great choice if you want some thing light or a main meal. I would suggest the Sea Bass - Well done Chef - perfectly cooked every time :) They also have a great wine selection and mouth watering desserts. I love that the real Fabio is often there for you to meet - and honestly the gorgeous Italian men who work there are part of the reason I always return!

I have been going to Fabios for the last 4 years. In this time the food, service and atmosphere has only got better. I always enjoy my visits here and feel like one of the family. The food is fresh and local produce which I feel is really important in the current economic climate. I cant wait for my next visit.

In response to recommendations and because we wanted to try an independent restaurant, my partner and I visited Fabios as a treat to ourselves on an occasion in January 2011. It was not a positive experience. Firstly the waiter forgot to bring us the menus and left us sitting for quite a few minutes unattended. In fact throughout the whole two hour visit we were never made to feel welcome. My starter of Antipasto Italiano was not enjoyable. It was sickly because it was too fatty and I couldn't finish it. Particularly this starter and the food generally was not presented with any degree of flair and we had to settle for second choice of wine. For the cost of £53 for two starters, two main courses and a bottle of wine, I wouldn't say the whole experience was negative, just mediocre as I have had better value elsewhere and have received more attention from the Saturday girl at Pizza Express. Unfortunately, we won't be going back.

I visited fabio's on the 16.04.10 with my partner, as had never tried this Italian before, when we got there we were greeted by a nice young lady who showed us to our table, there was not many dining at the time we had booked which was for 8.00pm. we made our choices off the menu, which incidentally had a lot of chicken on it. not a lot of Italian food really, and ordered a bottle of wine which they did not have so we had to choose another one. As we sat talking 2 more lots of diners came in and sat down to there tables, anyway we carried on talking expecting our starters to come pretty soon. And before we know it the table that came in after us had got there starters and the other diners got there's aswell, so asked where our s was, and the waiter said he would check with kitchen, but never came back to tell us, that he was sorry we had waited so long which was an hour by the way before we got our starters, and just threw the plates on the table with no acknowledgement at all, well we were disgusted at the behaviour, as soon as we had finished our mains came out straight away, and my partners was that dry he could not eat it at all, mine was ok ish. So we decided to leave more or less straight away and went to pay the bill, and the head waiter or the owner did not say, did you enjoy your meal and sorry about the wait, just took the money and never even said goodbye. He had a very bad attitude towards us and i felt like i had eaten nothing at all. We will never go back as we found it very cheesy and i think they were playing at Italians and not really giving there customers good customer service. My partner was fuming, and was nearly ready to knock the waiter out, because he was so rude. VERY UNFRIENDLY AND INSOCIAL RESTAURANT AVOID IT IF YOU CAN.

Fabios is by far the best Italian Restaurant around! My partner and I have been going every month for the last 2 years, I would go every week if I could! Fabio and his staff are friendly and always ensure that we have a wonderful evening. The food is fantastic and the atmosphere is always wonderful. I would recommend this lovely restaurant to anyone!

I think I went to this restaurant 12 years ago once and I never bothered to go again, but I decided to give it a go again. I wasn't impressed with the service I received. I don't know if he was the owner who couldn't even stand up in front of us to look at face to take order. I thought he was so rude and food was not very good either. Just ONE KING PRAWN with three bits of potatos and other vegetable for 15 pounds!!! I think it's disgusting.

Go to Fabio's in Banbury and you will NOT be disappointed. Independent LOCAL restaurant run by a genuine Italian family man - why support anonymous large chain restaurants when you can actually do a bit to support your LOCAL businesses? Added to which, the food is excellent, the prices are reasonable & Fabio genuinely cares about service to his clients. I'd rather give my money to this sort of establishment than the shareholders of a faceless corporation! Ate there with the wife on Valentines Night & thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Will definitely revisit...

Ate in this restaurant as guest of my daughter and son -in -law (I am from Aberdeen). The restaurant was packed but the service was very good and the food was excellent. Fabio greeted diners and made sure the experience was positive in all respects. Don't miss it !

I have dined in Fabios twice in the past year as I passed just by chance. I must say that it was an excellent experience each time. The food is superb and the portions are just right - (nothing more off putting than huge bowls of pasta). I can recommend the starter of prawns and avacado which was delightful and the two pasta dishes that I tried were totally delicious. The service is friendly and I am hoping to return on the 2nd January 2008 for another treat. If you are in Banbury or near to it - check out Fabios because you will not be disappointed.
