The food on the whole was very good. There were six of us celebrating a birthday and three ordered the 'Linguini of Crab' which is described as 'flaked with white crab meat, coriander, chilli and ginger pesto, chilli jam. There was little evidence of the chilli and ginger pesto or jam, or indeed the crab. A better description would be Linguini drowned in coriander, because there were no other flavours in evidence!
We were asked if we wanted to return the meals, but declined as everyone else had finished by then. The waitress said she would inform the manager of our complaints.
Nothing else was said, and we duly ordered and received coffees. I again asked regarding the manager, and this time he came to the table, and his manner suggested we should have known what to expect, but he would 'have a word with the chef' about easing down on the coriander 'next time you visit'. On receiving the bill, no discount had been given, indeed they had the temerity to ask for a compulsory 10% service charge (for parties of six or more), which we declined to pay.
Apart from this particular dish, the food was very good. It just seems a shame that the lack of a simple goodwill gesture means they will lose any future custom from six people.

Our first outing at Felicinis was an enjoyable night out. The minute we walked through the door the service was excellent. The place was really busy so booking a table is a must do. Although it was busy we were served within a reasonable time. The food was also excellent. I had steak dish with veg and my partner had a chicken dish. The starters and desserts were also really nice. I would highly recommend a night out here. The place had a feel good factor about it and all the staff were very friendly. I will be visiting again in the future.

Having been a fan of this place for a couple of years I was worried that the refurb would ruin it! However the new menu is fab (especially the mixed platter starter) and if you catch happy hour the value is great. The only thing missing is Ziti, which was amazing and has unfortunately been removed. Great place and also has a good veggie range of choice. Always lively and booking for a Friday or Saturday night is essential.

I would return here, my husband had rabbit!! And on the wall is a big picture of guess what?? A RABBIT!! I was pregnant at the time and my friend who we went with is a vegetarian who likes rabbits (live ones) it was funny. Good atmosphere

Been 3 times, once on a Saturday night, Saturday for lunch and also midweek with friends. On each of the occasions the restaurant has been buzzing and the service excellent - attentive without being irritating.
The food is excellent and stands out from the conventional Est Est Est and Pizza Express fare.
Prices may be slightly on the high side but when the experience is this good it is more than worthwhile.

Excellent food, reasonable price

Visited for the first time on 22/12/03. I had the marinata mista (mixed marinated vegetables) as a starter, followed by Ziti (mentioned in a couple of episodes of The Sopranos). It's meatballs and pasta baked in a sauce and it was delicious - but very filling. My partner had gnocchi followed by steak. Everything was very good quality. The menu had a variety of dishes which were different from the run-of the-mill neighbourhood Italian. Some thought has gone into the menu and the decor (which is very modern and very Didsbury))
We had coffee but could not manage a dessert. The only slight downside was price. The meal, including a drink before and a couple of glasses of wine came to £55 for the two of us. £4.50 for a very small side salad is not good value, but this is a place I would return to.
