We used our Groupon coupon and they were etremely welcoming! Very attentive service and the food was quality Italian food. I had a penne marinari and it was packed with good quality plumplous fish and shell fish - perfect pasta - a reall quaity job having visited many Italian restaurants in the area. Not much to choose from within the groupon price range so had to pay a small amount over to get what i wanted - hubby did fine on the coupon. We sat outside having drinks and food . Drinks were reasonable too. Also offered us cold iced water WITHOUT asking! Very attentive lovely staff. Recommended.

We visited here on NY Eve for lunch. despite a packed house booked up for that night, the staff had plenty of time for us, great food and service at excellent value for money. I'll bring the Ramazotti next time!! lol.See you soon.

A very disappointing 9th wedding anniversary, needless to say we will not be returning to or recommending this restaurant. It is far too busy and cramped and we sat for ages waiting to be served. In fact I was not even that hungry by the time the main course actually came. My husband's steak was dry and all in all it was mediocre. This is the first time I have ever been out for a celebratory meal and decided against staying for dessert. Waste of time and money, especially annoying as it was a special occasion.

This is the first time I've been moved to write a review of a restaurant and I'm afraid not for a good reason. Given its a relatively new restaurant not in the most obvious place in Jesmond I would think that word of mouth recommendations are key in attracting custom. I would just like to sum my comments up by saying that poor service can't be dressed up as 'relaxed'. We were kept waiting for nearly an hour before could even place our order on a recent Saturday night when the restaurant was only two thirds full. We halved the amount we had initially planned to spend and we're still waiting to be offered dessert or coffee. We won't revisit and we wouldn't recommend. Shame as Rossini's was a lovely place to go and the service was always spot on.
