Back in 1997, Fuji Hiro was the first Japanese restaurant to open in Leeds and more than two decades later it’s still going strong. The intimate 40-cover restaurant is close to the Merrion Centre and decorated in traditional style with Japanese art adorning the walls and old sake bottles spread around the room. Chef-patron Victor learned his trade in Japan and he has put together a concise and tasty selection of dishes with friendly staff on hand that are happy to guide you and make recommendations. Takeaway is also available through Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats.
