Do not book into this hotel - you may find yourself 100 miles from home wihhout anywhere to stay when they double-book, as we did. We booked by telephone (as we had done on two previous occasions.) I was willing to give my credit card details to secure the booking, but was told that this was not necessary. We arrived too early to book into our room but were told that we could leave our bags in the store room until later that day, while we went to see family who were staying nearby. We arrived later that day to change for an evening out. The barmaid went to check on our booking, she returned and told us that as we did not have a booking and the hotel was fully booked. During the discussion, the barmaid twice went into the kitchen to speak to the manager/owner. At no point did she have the courtesy to come out of the kitchen to speak to us, merely sending her barmaid with messages. Fortunately our family were staying in a caravan nearbyand managed to squeeze us in, otherwise we would have faced a night without accommodation! I accept that mistakes happen, but do not accept the rudeness and unprofessionalism of the owner of this establishment and they will certainly receive no more of my business or that of anyone I know!
