We eat here most weeks, because of the quality and portions of locally sourced produce on offer (the Sunday lunch is to die for). Apart from the bar area, there is a very tastefully decorated restaurant upstairs, of which many are un-aware. For value for money, superb food and ambiance you cannot get better in Pontypool, my only criticism is that the restaurant is not open during the evenings during the week.
