About Giggling Squid

Giggling Squid has established a strong reputation for its staggeringly good, fresh Thai cooking since opening its first restaurant in Hove in 2009. The restaurant boasts a modern chic environment while the menu offers a varied selection of delicious meat, seafood, curry and stir fry options. Described by The Times as 'exciting' and Time Out as 'simply divine,' Giggling Squid is also a winner of Restaurant Magazine's Best Family Restaurant award. The Little Tapas menu has been designed so that children can “mix and match” smaller versions of popular “grown up” dishes including Chicken satay and Pad Thai. The renowned Thai tapas lunch menu features an array of small plates such as Thai Pork Dumplings, Salt and Pepper Squid, Sleeping Honey Duck and fresh Papaya Salad. There is also a range of six Tapas-style ‘tasting sets' priced between £9.75 and £11.95 that allow diners to sample several different dishes in a single sitting. The evening menu is more extensive with a wide selection of dishes available including the ever-popular Thai Green Chicken Curry.

This restaurant has just opened. I went on consecutive nights, first with a friend and then with my partner and teenage children. I enjoyed it both times. Even though it's part of an expanding chain it doesn't feel like it. The service was excellent and the food was excellent. It was also packed and had a lively atmosphere. There's a takeaway menu too which we'll look forward to using too

Divine new Thai restaurant on the former Strada site. Word has soon got out and it's quite difficult to get a table without pre booking, even at lunch times. The best Thai restaurant in Wiltshire, by some distance.Try the salt and peppers squid. Perfect. Tremendous value and lovely staff.
