Having come off the beach we wanted something to eat before setting off back to our holiday cottage in Fowey. Having walked around Looe, we settled on the Golden Guinea as they had a couple of 'early bird' specials.
As soon as we walked in I was having second thoughts,a very drab interior and a strange whispering atmosphere.
Never mind, this has happened before and we've gone on to have a fabulous meal. Sadly on this occasion this was not the case. I had possibly the worst fish and chips I've ever eaten ( or tried to )
Nothing was wrong as such, at least not enough to send it back to the kitchen, but everything on the plate, and even the cheap sachet of tarta sauce was very poor quality. Even my pint of Bitter was terrible.
