If you can get a place on one of the sofas, this really feels more like having food brought to you at your best friend's house than being in a cafe. The coffee is strong and delicious, and the smoothies are the best I've tasted anywhere. Also the burgers just taste really good. Oh and the muffins - they have that real muffin texture, with enough bite and intense flavour, and a generous overflowing-the-muffin-tin kind of shape. It's a very child-friendly place, too.

Yes it serves good coffee and take away lunches - but it is dirty (look under the sofas and check out the floor), the service can be very slow and the toilet facilities leave a lot to be desired. I was impressed - but not THAT impressed.

I don't often fill in reviews on places, but I've just had a takeaway salad for my lunch and I feel quite moved - it was the nicest thing I've eaten in weeks!
I work in Keswick, so I get lunch from there quite often and it's always really good - and incredibly cheap for a takeaway salad with crunchy asparagus, big chunks of feta and proper olives. Fabulous!

This place is quite possibly the best coffee shop in the lakes if not the uk. It was a pleasant surprise, the food is clearly produced with passion and knowledge. This place is a must for any lake district visitor. i have booked to go to one of there Gastro Evenings in March i'll let you know what i think, but the menu sound fantastic.

Wonderful, fresh salad on crisp, white plates. This is a place to come and meet a friend, or just chill by yourself accompanied by organic produce and a library of cookery books. A lovely place!
