About Goya Bistro

Goya Bistro is a friendly and intimate Thai Bistro in Newton-le-Willows. Chef and owner Goya Griffiths was born and brought up in Chiangmai where her grandmother taught her to cook and she has opened her eponymous restaurant to bring a taste of northern Thailand to the northwest. The intimate venue seats just 28 diners and the décor is contemporary with classic Thai touches. The menu offers plenty of choice with chiilis helpfully indicating the heat level of each dish. Goya Bistro is open Wednesday to Saturday from 5pm-11pm and from 3pm-8pm on Sundays. And Goya also runs Thai cookery classes on Saturday and Sunday afternoons where you can learn some of the secrets of Thai cuisine.

Fabulous evening in Goya Bistro. Thai tapas - absolutely brilliant way to sample a wider range of dishes than we could’ve done from the a la carte menu. Can’t wait to go back.

The food at Goya has always been excellent Recently we have really enjoyed Tapas on Sunday evening. Service is good and the atmosphere is quiet and friendly. Great value for the money.

Fantastic meal....my daughter (11) couldn't remember the meal she had before but had taken a photo...as they do . . the waitress was superb and knew exactly what the meal was by looking at the photo... Result....

Another superb meal in this restaurant. The staff friendly polite and professional. Food absolutely perfect. Ambience excellent. My only regret is I have to wait to visit as I live abroad, but I always return here. Never ever disappointed..

Though we had been going to Goyas since it had opened we had not tried the tapas. How lovely it was and gave us the opportunity to try more of the dishes. Really beautiful food loved it

Wow, what can I say, we live in Derby and when we are passing by Newton we always have a meal here. This is our favourite Thai restaurant ever. We took my parents this weekend and they absolutely loved it. Please make sure you book in advance as they only have a few tables. Trust me you will not be disappointed.

Had the Sunday tapas and we ordered all of them on the menu. The food was lovely and fresh, the staff were very friendly and most of the time we were the only ones in the restaurant. The only issue I have was the cost of a half a pint of lime and soda water £3.95, a bit steep. We definitely will be going back.
