We visited Green's when on holiday recently, following a recommendation in a recipe book I'd been given. We tried a variety of dishes off the light bites part of the menu which all came well cooked. In particular we can heartily recommend the scallops and the chips were to die for, although the portion size was a little overfacing. Service was excellent, and food was reasonably priced.

We visited Whitby as a long weekend break and it has proved to be a gem. I came across Greens on a tourist website but it did not mean anything to me. We called in for lunch, then revisited for dinner in the restaurant and then the next evening went for the Bistro meal. nothing has disappointed us other than the fact that our holiday has ended and the calories we have put on! The flavour and tenderness of the lamb and the fillet has not been surpassed by any other meat and so we even visited the butchers on the way home for some supplies. The ingredients and the quality of the local produce is so important to the owners that it is clear in the cooking. The fish and seafood was also true Whitby class. All the staff were knowledgeable and friendly and they made the whole experience memorable and one we will repeat again. I heartily recommend this to any local or traveller.

Very good food, which is locally supplied when possible. Although a little pricey, this is reflected in the quality of the food and presentation of it. Would highly recommend.
