The Griffins Head Bar and Grill is a Victorian-era pub at Huncoat, Accrington with a fresh, modern feel and a varied food offering that has re-opened under new management. The pub has one large dining area with mosaic tiled flooring and a modern-industrial feel as well as a small beer garden with six tables. There's a stripped down lunch menu, a good-value kids menu and the main menu which offers burgers, grills and pub classics. A good selection of lagers, cask ales, wines and spirits ably complements the food.

Went on sunday. Booked table online. Unfortunately was told there would be a wait for food , but to wait nearly an hour to me was unacceptable. The food when it arrived was warm not hot. In the past everything has been spot on . Maybe there was a reason for this one off . First poor experience we have had here.

Its the second time we have eaten here. Really friendly polite staff. Nothing is too much bother. Food fab. This time we had cheese pie chips and minted mushy peas. It was really tasty. Definitely go again and I would recommend a visit.

We went as a party of five for Sunday lunch and it was excellent. The food was freshly cooked and portions were very generous. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful and we will definitely be going there again.

Lovely freshly prepared meals, great friendly staff, we had the sharing platter and an older member of our party with a small appetite had the small haddock on fries with minted peas. It is our local but so happy to have good food back near by
