About Griffins Head Bar and Grill

The Griffins Head Bar and Grill is a Victorian-era pub at Huncoat, Accrington with a fresh, modern feel and a varied food offering that has re-opened under new management. The pub has one large dining area with mosaic tiled flooring and a modern-industrial feel as well as a small beer garden with six tables. First visit to the Griffey, very friendly and the owner made us very welcome. The food was very good and at a reasonable price. Definitely recommend.

4 of us went for my grown son's birthday. We had a delightful lunch. We shared the small plates platter to start and everything was delicious. We each chose different main courses and each was presented nicely and were excellent. The cappuccino was fabulous, definitely worth waiting for. The service was wonderful and the welcome warm and friendly. We felt so relaxed we stayed longer than anticipated. Cant wait to go back.

This is the second time we have had the Sunday roast and both my partner and I agree it is probably the best roast dinner we have had and both the service and atmosphere was great

Always a warm welcome whenever we visit The Griffins Head .... Michelle and the team are amazing and their friendly smiling faces greet as soon as you walk through the door . Great variety of drinks , excellent well priced menu to choose from and the food , always cooked fresh , is fantastic .... Highly recommended for couples , families and large groups , you will be well looked after , and it's dog friendly too , so even your four legged friends will made welcome ...

What a fantastic roast. Great food, great service and warm atmosphere. You need to book. This place gets busy, which is great to see. New beer garden incoming too!

We ate here as a party of 5 (3 adults, 2 children). Staff were excellent, friendly and accommodating. The food was good but not mouth watering “we will come again” type of food. Steak was butter soft. Cheese and onion pie was good. Chicken/chorizo skewer was ok, small pieces of chicken and not much. Don’t expect the hanging type skewer. They are small. Fish and chips. My son said it was good. Our only comment was the seating near the bar/window area. It is hard to reach the table when you are sat on the back rest fitted seating .

Good pub grub with decent portions at reasonable prices. The young lady serving was lovely, so polite and helpful. She tried hard to ensure we were all happy with our meal and drinks. The chairs are metal and slightly uncomfortable to sit on after a while.

first time visiting here had rebooked half an hour beforehand through their website for a family of 5 last minute decision as we’ve always wanted to try it out after a friend recommending this place…. It definitely did not disappointment. Lovely and friendly staff was made to feel very welcoming, the service was spot on. The food was absolutely delicious, great value for money for sure! Would definitely be returning very soon! Thank you.
