About Gussto Tapas Bar

Housed in an historic building that backs onto the river in the centre of Durham, Gussto Tapas Bar is the home of authentic Spanish tapas in the city. The bare stone walls help create the perfect ambience, making this the ideal setting for a date night, a romantic meal or a get-together with friends. Gussto is open seven days a week right through from noon until late and the menu has a great selection of meat, vegetarian and fish & seafood tapas dishes as well as charcuterie, paellas and salads. And weekdays until 5pm there’s a specially priced three-tapas deal. Drinks-wise you can choose from a good selection of wines, beers and spirits to accompany your meal.

Came on Thursday. Cute little place, that had authentic feel. Was excited to try different dishes and enjoy an authentic Spanish meal. Had a variety of dishes from chicken Wings, prawns, patas braves, meatballs and mini paella. However all though nice, not very authentic. Wings were battered with some kind of cheese/buffalo sauce, seafood over cooked. Glasses for the lager had a funny smell which made the lager taste funny. It was okay, but not what we were looking for for £90. Disappointing.
