Beautiful restaurant in lovely surroundings. We ate there sat 13 Feb. I had the chicken. It was lovely but not enough sauce for both my friend and i . We think chicken can be a bit dry without the appropriate sauce and there definitely wasn't enough on. Everything else was lovely. My hubby had cheese and biscuits but they came without butter. He asked for butter and the waitress just plonked 2 pats of butter down for him, now i think that should have come in a little ramekin dish as the hotel is so posh and eating out these days is expensive. One of the young girl waitresses was very serious and could have had a bit more of a smile on her face. The welcome bucks fizz was lovely a very nice touch. Would definitely come back again. We travelled about 30 minutes to get here so it was worth it.
One Hungry Diner!!
Feb 2009 - Upon arrival the bar was full of empty/dirty/used glasses from the night before. No one was in a rush to move them either, just serve around them. When we eventually discovered the function room, (as no-staff were in the least bit interested to show us where we had to go?)we were met with a filthy carpet, filthy dusty cutlery, dirty glasses, and stained tablecloths! not sure when the carpet had last seen a vacuum!!! The food was absolutely terrible, stone cold, awful, (if you like pickles, this is the place for you, I have never seen so many!!!)filthy cutlery, a splash of wine served with the meal, (when asked for more, "we have to make sure there is enough for everyone else" a waitress remarked, then when the dessert arrived (20 minutes waiting between courses) was served, over 40 people remarked how horrible, cold and unappetising this was, not very helpful, terrible, terrible terrible, Haighton Manor we feel didn't provide, excellent service or value for money, the food was a disaster!!! what should of been a great day out. This used to be a fabulous Hotel for any function, however we shall not be visiting again, if you are contemplating holding a function, please visit on a few occassions, when one is on and ask the people if they're impressed!!!

I found the set menu excellent value. The food was first class as was the service. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Been here many, many times and always delighted. Last night we went to the tenner evening and it was so average. Desperate need of professionalism in menu and service. We would rather have paid more and not been disappointed. Soup on one of the tables went back three times before they abandoned it. May be we chose a bad night but sadly we are unlikely to return despite our previous satisfaction. The cheap price on a Tuesday is very short termism for repeat customsrs.

This restaurant was recommended to me by a friend who informed me that Rob Povall is the chef at Haighton Manor. I use to dine at Campions (must be 8 years ago) were Rob Povall was the chef, so on hearing his name again I had to visit. I was not disappointed the food was fantastic I'll certainly be dining at Haighton manor in the near future.

I visited the manor recently, the food was very good and a wide choice on food, I found one of the young waiters very friendly and helpful he was always smiling and looked very smart, he made our night run smoothly, will be going again, especially after hearing its good reputation.

Haighton Manor is a good restaurant even if it? a one to one with a loved one or a family meal and friend. The food is very good and I think the restaurant is outstanding.
