Our favourite restaurant on Orkney didn't disappoint this week with a superb Christmas menu. Between us, our party ordered every plate on the Christmas menu, with everything cooked to perfection. Cosy atmosphere, friendly staff and amazing food. Most definitely recommended as THE place to eat.

Had a lovely evening on Friday. Atmosphere is intimate and quiet, nice decor and lovely fire in the bar area. Service was excellent all night, attentive but not fussy or overbearing. Food was unpretentious, excellent quality and all delicious- it is pricey (eg sorbet £9) but everything we had it felt worth it and the experience felt like a treat

My first time at the Hamnavoe. We were welcomed by pleasant staff and the smell of the real fire in to the cosy dining area. The menu had a small but interesting selection with something for each of our tastes. Food was generally delicious. A little expensive - so for me I would restrict visits to special occasions.

So glad we found this restaurant. A real treat. Small and intimate with first class service and a lovely ambience. Food was imaginative, beautifully cooked and presented with wonderfully balanced flavours. Portions were very well judged. It’s pricey, so a place to go for a real treat: but you absolutely get what you pay for. Will certainly go again next time we visit Orkney.
