Being quite a regular visitor to Hartleys,about once a month on average. It has become noticeable standards are slipping the food is still good overall but quality has slipped .Gone are the fresh chips that were always excellent.I was told the summer before last this was only a temporary measure , the decor is fastly becoming tired . Service is a bit hit or miss these days.

Bland, bad cafe food at restaurant prices. We ate there because the website assured us that the chef has a "deep passion for the food that he produces" - words fail me - very disappointed. The oven chips were ok.

I worked at Hartleys until Jan this year. All i can say is its by far the best place to eat. Food is freshly prepared to a high standard and the staff and owners are very good and capable at what they do. Keep up the hard work Andy, Lisa & staff... Long may your business continue thriving.

This has to be the best restaurant in the area for taste and value for money. Far better than some other overpriced establishments in the area and a big improvement over the traditional pub fayre offered in Dalton. Go visit, I promise you won't be disappointed.

Had a great quality, good value soup and a sandwich at Hartleys for lunch. The soup was pumpkin which shows they use seasonal produce, give it a go!

What a great little restaurant. Excellent food, very good value with the various offers available, and friendly efficient service. I had the calve's liver and enjoyed it very much. My wife had the rump of lamb which I tasted and found to be superb - very tasty, tender and cooked to perfection. I'll definitely be making a repeat visit.

This restaurant just gets better and better. The food is delicious, atmosphere laid back and meal offers are fantastic value. My wife and take our kids for a treat and we all love it. I'm sure it's just as good later in the evening for a 'proper' night out. Hartleys is so much better than some local pubs and restaurants offer!

I had lunch there on a Saturday with my boyfriend as as it was 2 for one main courses, he had a steak, and I a tuna steak. We shared olives with bread and dips to start and it was all absolutely gorgeous. Can't wait to go back- even at non offer time it would still be good value. Service good, relaxed atmosphere although was quiet at lunch. Would definitely recommend.
