About Henry’s

Henry's is located on Henry Street in the centre of Lytham. It's a smart, contemporary and stylish restaurant with a great atmosphere. The ground floor restaurant has a cosmopolitan vibe, specializes in grills served on wooden platters and has al fresco seating and windows that fully retract in the summer. It is open from noon every day for lunch and dinner and has a new head chef, Jonny Gilmore, who has worked previously with James Martin and Nigel Howarth. The menu offers good value dishes from around the world and is supplemented by a grill menu that has plenty of juicy steaks, blackened Cajun chicken and burgers. They use only the finest quality produce from local suppliers and everything from burgers to ice-cream is made in house. Throughout the week they have a lunch and early evening Prix Fixe menu which offers two courses at £12.95 and on Sundays they cook a prime rib of beef and carve it in the restaurant. The wine list carries an impressive 60 bins from around the world, all of which have been well chosen to go with the food. Upstairs the new Drunk Buffalo Club is the place to go for indulgent burgers and cocktails. And just around the corner, Capri is a sister venue.

Was here last week om the last day it closed before a move over the road to the old bank building. I usually have steak which is good but went for the cod with mussels and new potatoes which was FAB-U-LOUS darlings.

Another nice meal at Henry’s. Four of us went straight after work on a Friday. No problem getting a table at this time, friendly staff, good atmosphere. I couldn’t look past the burger – again – although there is plenty of choice on the menu.

Had a meal in Henry’s for the first time in quite a few months on Friday and was very impressed. I got there very early around 5.30 and had the place to myself initially. It looked stunning all laid up ready for service. They have really got the decor and lighting spot on with the latest refurb. We were all happy with the food too although with the post-Xmas diet all I had was the Cajun Chicken Caesar Salad. Only slight gripe was the coffee which despite two attempts never got beyond lukewarm.

I took 7 of my family to Henrys on a monday night to celebrate a birthday of my son. We were seated in a prime location on one of the leather banquettes. Service was effecient and pleasant from the two ladies. Everyone was impressed with their food, a couple of them felt that the food had improved since their last visit. My ribs were very tasty and melt in the mouth and the burger good, just not as good as the ones upstairs in The Drunk Buffalo. The wines were reasonably priced as well. Will return

Henry's catered my daughter's christening party last weekend and everything was excellent from start to finish. They completely took over all organisation for us, contacting the venue, organising plates, cutlery, table cloths etc. They set everything up for us in good time and it looked fantastic. The food was all made freshly on the morning of the event and we were complemented by every guest, saying it was the best buffet they had eaten at a christening doo. Thanks Charles and his team for a seamless service and fantastic food!! Definitely recommended for outside catering, the restaurants not bad either!!

Took a group of 11 of us here for lunch yesterday. The food was very good and I would recommend anyone to try the steaks at this restaurant. The meat is superb, tender and well cooked. There is a good selection on the wine list, Malbec Reserva was lovely accompaniment to the steak. Will be returning soon.

Ate with a friend at Henrys on Tuesday evening after hearing good things about the place. I went with the specials which was a Crab Croquette starter that was ok. The main was Gnocchi with Butternut Squash and was so sickly it was inedible. My friend had the pie which was average. The wine we picked was switched for something else and wasn't the best in the world. Shame as the staff were excellent.

This is one of the best restaurants in Lytham.Whilst it was extremely busy this did not jeopardise the service and quality of the food.The food was first class which reflected the popularity of the venue.We do not live locally so visits are not as frequent as we would like.This place would stand proudly next to any renowned major city restaurant. Keep up the good work-hope to re visit in a few weeks.
